Mardi Gras Almost Didn't Come This Year by Kathy Z. Price













She’s a performance poet who has performed her work at Lincoln Center, St Marks Poetry Project, and The Whitney Museum with performances in Central America and Europe. She has received poetry fellowships with Fine Arts Work Center, Community of Writers Squaw Valley and Cave Canem. Her poetry is included or appearing soon in TriQuarterly Review, Rumpus, Pleiades, Cincinnati Review, Sin Fronteras, Spillway, and Aloud: Voices from the Nuyorican Poet’s Café, (Henry Holt) as well as African Voices, and The World. Price is a recipient of a New York Foundation for the Arts Fellowship in Poetry.
